Legion Chat: We need ample notice

It's a Monday morning, just sitting here admiring nature's handiwork, wondering where I'm going to put the snow this time!
We just completed the Zone Meeting on Saturday. It went well. A special acknowledge to the Ladies Auxiliary for preparing the lunch, to our executive members that attended and our Colour Party. Our Zone commander is still Ed Kennedy, the Deputy Commander is Brian McCullum, both from Atikokan.
I have noticed that individuals and organizations have been bringing in their requests at times just before their events, for donations. The Legion requests that these be in writing and be available at our Executive meeting at which time approval may be made, our meetings are the second Thursday of the month.
Any monetary requests are then ratified by the membership on the last Wednesday of the month. So the process is not immediate and will take at least two weeks or longer.
