RR Trade Show set for May 11th: Exhibitors needed

The Rainy River and District Chamber of Commerce (RRDCC) is now calling for exhibitors for the 7th Annual RR Trade Show.
The date for the event has been etched in stone for May 11, 2013. And unlike last year, if any conflicts with other events arise, “We will not be moving the date,” said RRDCC President Richard Trenchard. Last year it was postponed when it conflicted with another event and then eventually was cancelled.
Fees remain the same as they were two years ago, the last time it ran, and if exhibitors belong to RRDCC or wish to join they can get a big discount on space rental! For example a single booth, 8’X12’ is $60 for a member to rent and a non-member pays $150. Dues to join the chamber are $110 for regular voting members and $60 for non-voting associate members. To join the chamber or pay dues, contact Trenchard at email: rrdococ@gmail.com or via phone at 807-276-7580.
Another twist on the membership this year is if exhibitors sign up on or before the April 15th deadline they have an opportunity to win a year’s dues for free!
Trenchard said that the registration for the Trade Show is available on line at the RRDCC website (www.rainyriverchamber.ca). People needing more information on the event can also call Kam Kuzyk at the Rainy River Arena, home to the RR Trade Show. His number is 807-852-4446.
Booth location in the venue is first come first served. To date 10 have registered. “Don’t delay, this your chance to inform the public of your business, products and services,” said Trenchard.
It is hoped that a variety of food vendors will be on site as well as entertainment. To date Trenchard has received committment from KidSport that they will be hosting activities for kids that day. Inquiries to the Fort Frances Early Iron Car Club have been made, in hopes that an old car show will be held outside the arena (weather permitting).
Set up for the one day event will take place the evening before, May 10th. Trenchard said volunteers will be needed to help set up booths, especially if they get a full house of 52 exhibitors. Anyone wanting to help can contact him at the above listed email or phone number.
When the doors open, the public will have a chance to win a Winnipeg Jets Jersey, autographed by the 2011 team. A passport system will be used where visitors will have to visit all the exhibitors to have a passport stamped. They can then enter to win the jersey.
