Record wins 'Best News Photo' award!

The Rainy River Record was honoured at the Ontario Community Newspaper Association's annual Better Newspaper Competition Awards Gala this past Friday.
The Record received a 2nd Place Award for Best News Photo. The winning photo for the Record was the front page picture of the CN Fire, published Sept. 12, 2012.
There were 61 entrants in this category and most were much larger papers than the Record.
The Record's sister paper, the Fort Frances Times, also received honours for Best Vertical Product and 2nd for Best Front Page.
