Man dies after incident at Kenora Inn

On Sunday 31 March 2013 at 3:45 am the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to attend the Best Western Lakeside Inn on First Ave. S. in the city of Kenora. Officers were responding to a complaint of occupants causing a disturbance, when they arrived they found one male lying on the street and observed a window on the fourth floor had been broken.
The male was taken to Lake of the Woods District Hospital where he died shortly after his arrival. OPP are withholding the identity of the deceased until next of kin can be notified.
OPP North West Regions Forensic Identification Unit and Crime Units have been called to assist with the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
