Record honoured nationally

Coming right on the heels of last week's announcement that Record had won a provincial newspaper award was word of another honour last Wednesday.
This time it was a national newspaper award. It is 1st Place for Best Spot News Photo (circulation 3,900 and under).
The photo was the same picture the Record won a 2nd place for Best News Photo provincially earlier in the week. It was a tragic photo of the Canadian Northern Hotel burning down September 11, 2012.
The photo was taken by the Record's Managing Editor, Ken Johnston.
