Skylar Arpin advances to All-Ontarios in Badminton

Rainy River High School badminton players brought home plenty of hardware last week when they competed at NWOSSAs in Dryden!
Skylar Arpin went undefeated in Senior Girls singles to bring home NWOSSA gold. That earns her a trip to the All Ontario Badminton Championships May 2-4 in Markham, Ont. This will be her second trip to All Ontarios in as many years. She is excited and hopes to build upon last year’s experience.
Her younger sister, Hayley, also brought home NWOSSA gold in Jr. Girls Singles. However, juniors do not advance beyond NWOSSAs.
Also competing under the Owls banner was Senior Doubles Team Logan Jackson and Shauna Moen. They went 2-2 in play and finished with Bronze medals. A good finish, but just short of advancing to All Ontarios. Moen said, “I think we were only the second team in RRHS history to advance to NWOSSAs.”
