RRHS Owls' Senior, Skylar Arpin travelled to Markham, Ontario last Thursday to compete in the All Ontario Championships (OFSAA) in badminton.
Her dad, Guy Arpin said Monday, “She did really well. Her final record was 2 wins and 2 losses!”
This was her second straight year at OFSAAs. Skylar was one win away from a medal in B flight (exact same level as last year).
Both her losses were close and came at the hands of the eventual B flight Silver medalist and B Flight Antique Bronze medalist.
“She played well and enjoyed her OFSAA experience. Of course the competitor in her is disapointed that she did not medal, but she has nothing to hang her head about,” said Guy Arpin Monday.
Here are her game results:
Game 1 vs S. Wong #2 player out of Toronto - Loss 17-21 & 16-21
Game 2 vs B. Paquet #2 out of Northeastern Ontario - Win 21-8 & 21-9
Game 3 vs J. Pathy #1 out of Western Ontario - Win 21-16 & 21-16
Game 4vs s. Yang #1 out of Southern Ontario - Loss 23-25 & 12- 21
