Locum House opens

It’s finally a reality. The Rainy River Locum House is up, operating and occupied. There is still some landscaping and exterior work to finish when warm weather finally arrives but our communities have succeeded in making this dream a reality. Congratulations to all those hard working volunteers.

But our fund raising efforts are not over. The Committee continues to operate canteens at events like last weekend’s Rainy River Trade Show and the upcoming Auction Sale at Willie Almers in Rainy River on Saturday, May 25.

Another event being planned is a Community Garage Sale later this summer- a firm date later.

If you have any suitable items you would like to donate like household goods, furniture, toys, tools, seasonal items, etc. (no clothing please) call Melanie Murray at 807-852-3308 or Carolyn Kreger at 807-852-2886 for details.

Drop offs will be Mondays at noon with location and dates from Melanie and Carolyn.
