Kindness and Caring award to be presented at Riverview

The family of the late Delaney Byrnes is pleased to announce the creation of the Delaney Byrnes Kindness and Caring Award.
The award has been established by Delaney’s step daughters Susanne Marquardt, Donna Haglund and Kristen DuLac and will be presented for the first time at the graduation ceremonies for Grade 8 students at Riverview Elementary on June 14, 2013.
The award recognizes a student who has shown exemplary kindness and caring towards their schoolmates. Friends and extended family of Delaney are welcome to attend.
Delaney Byrnes was a resident of Rainy River for most of his life. He was well known for his warm-hearted nature and service to his community.
The Delaney Byrnes Memorial Fund has been set up to perpetuate the Riverview award and to promote kindness and caring in schools and communities. Contributions can be forwarded to Susanne Marquardt, for the Delaney Byrnes Memorial Fund, 171 Royal York Road, Toronto, ON M8V 2V5.
