Third meeting on the future of school is next Wednesday

The third of at least four public meetings on the future of Our Lady of the Way School in Stratton is next Wednesday evening.
The first one was held on March 20th at the school. It was poorly attended. However, the second one was very well attended and featured several presentations from members of the public. All of which voiced support for the school to remain open.
The meetings are part of an official process called an Accommodation Review Process (ARP). The ARP has to hold a minimum of four public meetings before it can assess what it has learned and make a recommendation to the Northwest District Catholic School Board.
The ARP was triggered when the school’s population dropped to only 13 students this current school year.
Anyone wishing to address the committee at the next meeting has until the end of today, May 22nd to notify the ARP board via email at arc@tncdsb.on.ca.
The meeting will be held at the school on May 29, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
Once the ARP is completed they will make a recommendation to the board who will ultimately decide if the school will stay open or be closed.
