Funeral Notice: Carl William Theodore "Ted" Lundgren, 96

On Friday May 24, 2013 Ted went to be with the Lord.
He was born in Rockwood, Manitoba, on March 14, 1917 to Carl and Christina Lundgren.
Most of his early years were spent in Winnipeg where his father owned and operated a garage.
He moved to Bergland when he was 13. Ted spent many years trapping on his trap line in Whitefish Bay. He later worked both alone and with his dad constructing many buildings in the area as well as doing electrical work, keeping his electrician license current until the time of his death. He was councillor and reeve for McCrosson - Tovell Twp and served on the Fort Frances – Rainy River School Board.
In the seventies he opened and operated Ted’s Store for a few years. He quickly converted it to a work shop where he loved to spend his days.
Ted had a close personal relationship with Jesus and could often be found reading his bible, both in English and Swedish.
He was predeceased by his parents; Carl and Christina Lundgren, his brothers; Alfred (Edna), Paul (Donna), his sisters; Mabel (Don), Hazel and his son-in-law Alan Meline.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 67 years Tena, his children; Bill (Nancy), James (Wanda), Sandra Meline, Joan (Henry) Pentney, Fern (Buck) Holland, Barry, 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Funeral service were held at the Bergland Hall on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 2pm, with Pastor Wally Detweiler officiating. Interment to follow in Bergland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren; Misty Lundgren, Sean Meline, Mark Pentney, Clayton Lundgren, Hope Holland Thompson and Greg Lundgren.
