Galusha takes over as Rainycrest Administrator

Riverside Health Care Appoints Darryl Galusha new Administrator of Rainycrest Long-Term Care Home Fort Frances, ON (June 26, 2013) – Riverside Health Care is pleased to announce the appointment of Darryl Galusha as the new Administrator of Rainycrest Long-Term Care Home. In this capacity, he will also become Senior Director, responsible for Senior’s Services for the corporation. Darryl is originally from Fort Frances and coming home played a significant role in his decision to accept this important and challenging position.
“First, on behalf of Riverside Health Care (RHC), I wish to thank Edie Bodnar for delaying her retirement to allow us the time to recruit Darryl. Her patience was remarkable and directly speaks to her commitment and dedication to seniors care in Rainy River District” said Allan Katz, RHC’s president and chief executive officer. “For that, we owe her our deepest gratitude”.
“We are equally grateful that Darryl has decided to join our senior leadership team, lead Rainycrest and accept this important portfolio,” Katz added. “He clearly communicated his passion and energy for long-term care and possesses an exceptional track record from his Kenora District experience.”
“I have spent the last 13 years in Kenora, working nine years as a supervisor at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital and the last four years at the District of Kenora Home for the Aged”, Galusha noted. He was employed as the Director of Care for Pinecrest Home for the Aged, while simultaneously holding the position of Assistant District Administrator for the homes in Dryden and Red Lake.
Darryl is married to Leah, a Nurse Practitioner and Regional Coordinator of the Registered Practical Nursing Program at Confederation College. Together they have two children: a 13 year old daughter and a twelve year old son. “I feel that I am lucky to have this opportunity to come home after this many years. I look forward to serving the needs of the seniors in the community”, Galusha stated. He starts his position on Monday, July 15, 2013.
