Ontario Equestrian Federation to participate in Emo Fair
News Release
OEF
The Ontario Equestrian Federation is heading to the Emo Fair this weekend to represent its members in the north and foster the development of the sport across the province.
“The OEF is excited to have been invited by the Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society to make the journey to Northern Ontario to join in the celebration of the local equine community at the Emo Fair horse shows,” says Stephanie Rutherford, program administrator for the OEF’s First Safe Strides program, a resource for horse show organizers to assist them in administering competitions that adhere to standard safety and procedural requirements. “The OEF has so many great programs available to help riders, drivers and handlers reach their potential and we want to ensure horse people across Ontario take advantage of them.”
With a table set up in the stabling area, Rutherford will be in attendance during the horse show on Friday and Saturday to talk to exhibitors and spectators and give away OEF merchandise. Exhibitors will enjoy a “Meet ‘n’ Greet” breakfast reception, courtesy of the OEF, before the horse show begins on both days of the visit.
The OEF represents more than 22,000 individual members who come from all sectors of the horse industry, including professional, amateurs, competitors and recreational enthusiasts of all ages and disciplines. The OEF is committed to equine welfare and providing leadership and support to the individuals, association and industries in Ontario’s horse community.
