Two survive car accident near Emo

On Saturday September 14, 2013 at approximately 1:15 pm, officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a single motor vehicle collision on Off Lake Road at Judson Street in the Township of Emo.
As a result of the investigation it was found that a white Dodge Durango was travelling southbound and left the roadway. The vehicle entered the east ditch of the roadway and rolled onto its side.
OPP, Rainy River District Emergency Medical Services and the Emo Fire and Rescue Service responded. A couple from Lovington, Illinois were removed from the vehicle and taken to the LaVerendrye Hospital, treated for minor injuries and later released.
Both vehicle occupants were wearing their seatbelts, at the time of the collision.
Cause of death determined
On Saturday September 7, 2013 at approximately 8:00 pm, officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted an investigation into the death at the Emo Speedway.
William G. REIMER, age 67 years of Vermilion Bay, ON was pronounced dead after his race vehicle left the travelled portion of the raceway.
A post mortem was conducted at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital on September 9, 2013. Police can confirm that the death was due to natural causes.
