Beautiful music played on the accordion
On June 1st, 2005 sixteen seniors met at the depot for fun and fellowship.
Wilfred Johnson with his accordion and mouth organ played all our favourite oldies, which we thoroughly enjoyed. He spoke of a piece we seldom hear anymore and played “The Maple Leaf Forever”, why do we not hear this I wonder? It’s beautiful.
Darlene had been in her rhubarb patch and made a delicious rhubarb upside down cake, “wow” was it good, topped off with dream whip. Thanks Iona for helping feed us such a treat and thanks to Ruth for driving us today.
Next week we will have one of our favorite people back, it will be his final visit with us as they are moving to St. Catherines, part of the family is there now and Jocelyn and John will be leaving at the end of June. We wish them all the best in their new home.
Come out and enjoy his beautiful voice, and music. Until next time enjoy this beautiful weather, Luv U. Ev Moen.
