RRHS Student Council

On September 30th, Rainy River High School participated in the annual Terry Fox walk/run. We added a little bit of fun to our walk. Those who wanted with a friend could do the routes three-legged using a piece of material to tie their legs together.
Following our walk we had our Terry-oake competition. The top 5 people who raised the most money sang. This year’s nominees were: Victoria Lindal, Hunter Neilson, Liam McKenzie, Dion Lapensee, and Ms. Bonot.
After their performances, the school then voted for their favourite singer, $0.50 a vote.
All performers did an amazing job. After the votes were tallied up the winner with the most votes was Ms. Bonot.
Mr. Murphy, our 2012 Karaoke Champion, presented the trophy to this year’s winner.
Our $10,000 goal was met! This year the school raised $609.89. That adds up to $10,227.60 since 2001. Thank you to everyone who participated in these events.
