[Rainy River], Ontario (Oct. 21, 2013) –The Canadian Cancer Society is pleased to announce that Marilyn Jenson was the lucky winner of a $25,000 cash prize in the Canadian Cancer Society’s VIP Lottery! Marilyn was one of 30 people to win an Early Bonus prize of $25,000 drawn on October 10.
“Congratulations to Marilyn and everyone who won in the Early Bonus draws and don’t worry if your name wasn’t drawn because we’re just getting started giving away prizes” said Janice Gray, Manager, Lottery, Canadian Cancer Society, Ontario Division. The Canadian Cancer Society will be drawing for cash and car prizes every day in November and the Grand Prizes on December 2, 2013. “Our new Wheels of Hope 50/50 Raffle jackpot is now at $2.2 million and one fortunate winner will be getting a cheque for $1.1 million” said Gray.
“Our lottery supports promising research that has brought us closer than ever before to fully understanding, treating, controlling and preventing the over 200 types of cancer, so we are all winners. The Wheels of Hope Raffle net proceeds will help fund rides for cancer patients to and from their treatments. This service is essential, particularly in remote areas, as patients may have to travel further to get to treatments.”
All VIP Lottery Early Bonus winners are listed online at lottery.cancer.ca.
