Hooked on the Olympics

I am already hooked on the Olympics!
Last Thursday I heard about a pairs figure skater from Northwestern Ontario and later that day, at lunch time, I saw him skate!
I was hooked instantly!
Over the weekend I, like so many people, had the t.v. tuned to the games much of the day. Even when we were doing other things we still had it on in the background!
I have to give kudos to CBC for excellent coverage. I was thrilled to see it on so early in the day, especially on weekends!
The American coverage did not begin until after lunch on Saturday... not sure what they were thinking... especially when we can all find out instantly who has done what in events via the internet.

By the time the US broadcaster gets the word out it is old news and Canadians have watched all the day's events already.
We have nearly two weeks left of the games and I can't wait for it to all unfold! Will Canada's women and men win hockey gold?
Can our curlers be at the top of the podium?
How many medals will we win as a country?
It is so exciting! It is too bad it only happens every four years... but I guess if it was more frequent it would not be so exciting.
