Olympic learning

Students at Our Lady of the Way School have been engaged in lessons and activities built around the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Students have been learning about the history of the Olympics, events in the Winter Olympics, the success of Canadian athletes in Vancouver in 2010 as well as Russian culture and geography. Pictured are some of the school’s students with their Matryoshka Dolls (Russian Nesting Dolls) that they designed to help decorate their classroom. Russia no longer feels like it is worlds away and the students look forward to cheering on our athletes.
