I had my first snow day in years!

It's been a long time since I had a snow day!
Back in grade school we always hoped for snow days. They would see the country kids stay home as the buses could not get to them safely.
Of course us town kids still had to go to school, even if it meant walking in tire ruts down the road to get to the school.
But we always had fun when we were there. Mr. Bob Osadchuk always had SRA Lab contests for us to do with great prizes. Mr. Greg Wilson and Mr. Terry Quibell would take us to the gym for floor hockey.
Other teachers would get us to do arts and crafts and sometimes we even got to watch a movie.
Well Monday, Family Day, was supposed to be a work day for me. I was supposed to take photos at the Rainy River Family Day activities. However, when I awoke at my fiancee's in Bemidji it was snowing pretty hard.
Communiques with friends and family back home said things were not any better up north.
So I asked my coworker, Anne Mailloux, if she could fill in for me at Noon. She did and I am very grateful as it did not stop snowing until 2 p.m. in Bemidji and the roads were atrocious.
So I had a snow day. Didn't play any sports or do much of anything fun. I did shovel a bit and relaxed.
–Until then,
Ken
