Winter just can't last all the way to July

Will Spring ever come?
People are worn down. Some are crabby and the consensus seems to be, "It better get here sooner, rather than later!"
Last week at this time thermometers were rising and so were people's spirits! It appeared that the long winter was over. Temps went above freezing three days in a row and the snowbanks were a shrinking!
All the while weather forecasters were predicting a return to the deep-freeze by the weekend.
With forecasters being wrong so often, people just did not want to believe Spring had not sprung for the season!
Well Thursday the only good news was Rainy River missed the big dump of snow and actually stayed warmer longer than had been foretold.
But Friday reality returned. Temps plummeted and about five inches of snow fell and then blew around all weekend!
It was and still is cold and miserable... AGAIN!
I think that because winter started so early people are fed up with it.
One person said to me the other day, "We finally got a normal winter!"
That is probably true... but we are not used to it after the last few winters.
On the positive side, the days are getting longer, the sun has some strength to it, and winter just can't last all the way to July!
