Doris Lelah Caroline Park, 102

Peacefully, on October 10, 2014, Doris Lelah Caroline (Williscraft) Park passed away at the Long Term Care Unit of Rainy River Health Centre at the age of 102 years.
Doris was born on March 1st, 1912 to parents William Henry (Harry) and Martha (Todd) Williscraft of Rainy River. She spent a happy childhood on the family farm, north of Rainy River and had one sibling, a sister, Audrey (Wright) who later moved to Dryden, ON.
On October 10, 1933 Doris married her life long partner, Clinton Andrew Park and together they raised their three children, to whom they left a legacy of love, tradition, and a sense of family which lives on in all of us.
Doris is survived by her three children, Ken (Norma), Deanne (John Soke), and Carolee (Rene Hogue), 11 grandchildren, 22 great grand children, and 7 great great grandchildren. Doris was predeceased by her husband Clinton (at 107 years of age) after 77 years of marriage.
We will remember her creativity in making beautiful quilts, her sewing skills, her sense of humour and her rice pudding. She could sew a wedding dress, hang wallpaper, or build cupboards and make it all look effortless. Mom, we will miss your strength and courage, your caring, and comforting, your smiles and hugs.
A special thank you to all the staff at Rainy River Health Centre for their patience, professionalism, their care and concern, and their condolences and hugs which you gave to Mom and myself.
A memorial service will be held on October 28, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Knox United Church in Rainy River with Reverend Frances Flook officiating.
A reception will be held in the church hall.
Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River before the service at the church.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
