Dolores Boulet, 82

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dolores Boulet, who died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Vancouver, BC on Sept 13, 2014 at the age of 82. She will be dearly remembered by all who knew her.
Dolores was born in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan on Aug 16, 1932. In March of 1953 she married the love of her life, Rene Boulet, and they remained happily married for almost 53 years.
Together they ran a restaurant in Winnipeg for 15 years until Oct 1969, when they moved their young family to Rainy River. There they owned and operated the CN Hotel for 20 years until selling the business and retiring in Oct 1989.
Dolores loved Rainy River and was very active in the community, helping with charities and sponsoring local sports teams.
After retirement, Rene and Dolores continued to live in the area for several years, enjoying their home on Wilson’s Creek and spending winters in Harlingen Texas.
In the summer of 1996 they moved to Chilliwack, BC, where they could enjoy their favorite pastime: golf, all year round.
Dolores was predeceased by her loving husband Rene, who passed away in 2006, and by her older brother Keith, who passed away in 2001.
Dolores was a loving and generous person, and will be sadly missed by her daughter Sherri and grandson Sito of Vancouver BC, by her son Frank of Jasper AB, and by her younger brother Bruce of Comox BC.
