Beverly Ellen Storkson, (nee Larson), 6 0

It is with heaviness in their hearts that the family of Beverley Ellen Storkson announces her passing on Wednesday, July 29th, 2015 at Rainy River Health Centre in Rainy River Ont.
After a courageous three year fight with cancer, Bev passed peacefully with her sons, her sisters, and her loved ones by her side.
Bev was born October 4th, 1954 in Rainy River, Ont. to Ralph and Alice (nee Halverson) Larson.
She spent her earliest years growing up on a small farm in McCrosson-Tovell, Ont., before her family moved to Bergland, Ont.
She attended the Tovell School, and later attended Rainy River High School.
On June 21st, 1980, Bev married Robert Storkson. They had two sons, Ryan, and Tyson.
Along with numerous part time jobs throughout her life, Bev worked a few summer seasons at Cedar Island Lodge.
She later relocated to Fort Frances Ont. where she worked at Shop Easy, and later at Safeway where she stayed for the next 38 years.
She loved to be around people. Always a friendly hello, always a smile.
Bev loved to keep busy. Rarely could she be found without something on the go. She was forever cleaning. Always cooking and making sure the boys weren't hungry and the fridge was full.
She loved her plants. Loved to garden. Loved to be outdoors. She also loved spending time with family, dinner with her sisters, a quick cup of coffee, or a road trip out of town to visit relatives.
She also spent a lot of her free time volunteering to help out with community events such as dinners, benefits, socials, and one of her favourites, the Safeway booth at the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Tournament. There was always lots of smiles and laughs with her coworkers during this event.
She leaves behind her two sons, Ryan and Tyson Storkson; Daughter in law Melissa (Smith) Storkson; grandchildren Lyric and Frankie Storkson; sisters Sharon (Gary) Wilson, Brenda (Mark) Jodoin, Annette Rousseau (Jeff Russell), and Lisa Larson (Wes Boileau). Nieces and nephews; Shawn, Jason, Jennifer, Chantal, Chris, Alyssa, and Brandon.
Bev was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Alice Larson, nephew Michael Clifford, and sister Shirley (John) Clifford.
As per Bev's wishes, cremation has taken place at the Rainy River Crematory in International Falls. A celebration of Bev's life will be scheduled for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memoriam may be made to 'Tamarack House Lodge' Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation 980 Oliver Road, Thunder Bay, ON P7B 6V4.
