Mom was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, and is survived by her four children, Eileen (Walter) Streit of Edmonton, Lillian (John) Dignan of Toronto, Brian (Colette) of Winnipeg and Paul (Melanie) of Calgary.

Mom is also survived by two special sisters-in-law Odetta Freier, Bernice Peternaik and a very dear niece, Jeannette Pauplis. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Mom was born in Winnipeg and after losing both parents at a very young age, went to live with her sister in Cochenour, Ontario to complete her high school years.
It was here that she met her husband, Arthur. They were married, October 16, 1943 and returned to Rainy River in 1944 where they spent many years farming and raising their family.
After retiring from the farm and relocating in town, they travelled extensively including numerous trips to visit their children and grandchildren.
Mom always stayed busy with her needlework, knitting, playing cards at the Legion & Seniors Centre, and playing games with the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mom was also a proud member of the Catholic Women’s League for many years.
She enjoyed volunteering with all the ladies in the Hospital Auxiliary, helping with everything from selling tickets to making socks and afghans to be raffled off.
