RRCA tops $6.5 million in sales as season wraps up

The final Rainy River Cattlemen’s Association sale was held on Saturday at the Stratton Sales Barn.
Prices were strong and were, in fact, up from the previous sale held in early October. “prices were good. They jumped up from the last sale!!!! Yay for our producers! Here are some of the highlights -- 595 lbs. tan steers at $3.02/lb., 535 lbs. tan steers at $3.39/lb., 542 lbs. heifers at $3.00/lb., 536 lbs. tan steers at $3.35/lb., 503 lbs. red steers at $3.25/lb. and 500 lbs. tan heifers at $3.12.50/lb. Our prices were higher than western sales - and heifers were quite high!” said RRCA member and sales helper Kim-Jo Bliss.
