Walter Joseph (Joe) Beyak, Jr., 64
Walter Joseph (Joe) Beyak Jr. Born January 31, 1951 in Rainy River, Ontario was called to Heaven on January 5, 2016.
Best known to family and friends as Junior, JR or Joe. He lived in Rainy River from 1951 until 1964, when he moved to Winnipeg. He lived with Aunt Sonia & Uncle Harvey while attending school, then on his own when he worked for a number of years for Smith Corona servicing typewriters, word processors and photocopiers.
From the time he was two his interest was electrical outlets, and he received his share of many shocks before he was five. He always had to take something electrical apart to see how it worked, then put it back together. Throughout his lifetime he was able to look at anything electrical or electronic-T.V., stereos, computers, refrigerators, stoves and fix them without a manual or any courses on repairs.
He later returned to live in Rainy River as that is where his heart was and where he called home. Soon after his return he married Cinde Schuh.
JR is survived by -- sons Jean-Paul (Shawna)-Minneapolis, Clinton-Vancouver, Grandson Jaden-Fort McMurray/Ottawa, Brothers John (Sandra)-Burlington, Dean (Judie)-Bancroft, Sister Valli (Bill)-Winnipeg, Sister-in-Law Lynn-Dryden, and many aunts, uncles, a niece, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Helen, his Father Joseph, his former Wife Cinde and his Brother Tony.
He spent the last several years at the Rainy River Health Centre Long Term Care facility. A special thanks to all the staff there and to his cousin, Chris Beyak, that looked after him during this time.
A memorial service will be held in the summer in Rainy River.
