Philip Pochailio, 95

Philip Pochailo passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 21, 2016, surrounded by family in Ottawa, Ont., at the age of 95.
He lived with integrity and purpose through to the end.
Born in Rainy River, Ont., Philip was a veteran of Bomber Command, a senior civil servant, a traveller, a gardener, a memoirist, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, and a friend.
Above all, he will be remembered for his singular ability to radiate so much kindness into the lives of so many.
He is survived by his wife, Juliette; his two children, Lori and Darryl and their spouses, Paul and Barbara; grandchildren, Natalie, Dennis, Nicole, Danielle, and Stephanie; and great-grandchildren, Samuel, Amelia, and Dashiell.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church in Bell’s Corners, Ottawa.
