William "Bill" Dale Ewald, 85

With his beloved family by his side, William (Bill) Ewald of Rainy River, Ontario passed away, Saturday, May 28, 2016.
Bill was born, December 8, 1930 to Daniel and Ethel Ewald in Sleeman, Ontario.
Bill and his wife, Gean married on May 7, 1954 in Rainy River, Ontario. Together, they raised and loved four children, Cindy (Rick) Cuthbert, Dennis (Deany) Ewald, Brian (Leanne) Ewald and Derek (Jen) Ewald. William is predeceased by his son, Bradley Ewald, parents and several brothers and sisters.
Bill adored his Grandchildren, Brooke, Chelsea, Kalan, Cody, Megan, Ryan, Lauren, Alyssa, Oren and Chance and his Great-Grandchildren, Tyler, Luke, Wells, Nolan, Keston, Andyn, Hayden, Deegan, Rosandra and Ayla. He loved to watch the children in his life run through his yard, eat vegetables from his garden and swing in the tire swing hanging from his tree.
Bill was a wonderful husband and father, and a loyal friend. He had an infectious smile and a kind soul. He enjoyed the outdoors, and loved living on the river. Bill had a love of hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 62 years, Gean, his children, extended family and many friends. His gentle smile will never be forgotten.
A time of fellowship in Bill’s memory was held at the Rainy River Royal Canadian Legion, on June 3, 2016 from 1-4 p.m.
