Born 1943 in Rainy River ON June moved many different places but returned to the one place that was always home to her, Rainy River ON. June will be fondly remembered for her kind heart and generous nature as well as her feisty attitude. She embraced life and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing and camping with her grandchildren. When the weather turned colder you could always find her in the kitchen cooking and baking up a storm for family and friends or feverously attending a new hobby.
She was always ready to try something new and had acquired many skills as a result of it… beading, sewing, baking, cooking, knitting, crocheting, gardening, as well as so many others.
Although June faced many challenges in her life she faced them all with courage and strength and humor. Her last challenges were faced with the support and love of the care workers and residents of the Riverside Health Care Facilities. This truly was her home and she felt she was a part of a very large wonderful family. June will be sadly missed by the many people whose lives she touched.
A luncheon will be held in June’s memory on Wednesday September 21, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. at the Rainy River Knox United Church.
