Family literacy program slated for Jan. 25th

Families Learning Together and is being held Thursday, January 25th from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Riverview School, (other participating sites include Donald Young School and Robert Moore School).
Here are some of the highlights at Riverview:
- It is an educational event designed to provide parents with strategies to assist their children to be successful in school
- a series of workshops for parents of students aged four to fourteen will be provided
- numerous community partner displays
- annual Scholastic Book Fair at this time
- a complimentary light supper
- numerous draws and giveaways
- childcare for ages 2-5 provided by the Learn, Laugh and Play Children’s Centre
- childcare for ages 6+ provided by the Rainy River High School Drama students
-Aaron Burnett will be on hand and is a Juno Nominated children’s performer who offers an interactive musical experience to his young audience
