New location for RR bottle returns

Rainy River will not be without a place to take empty beer bottles and the new returnable liquor bottles after all.
As of this Wednesday Border Service will no longer be the local beer bottle return depot.
Marion Brumwell of 316 Atwood Ave. will be taking them starting Feb. 1st.
The new liquor bottle deposit program begins Feb. 5th and Border Service said that they did not have the space or manpower to handle the addition of them to their already overflowing beer bottle return area.
For a while it appeared that people would have to take their bottles all the way to Devlin to return them. But now Brumwell has stepped up to the plate and will take them back on Monday’s from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thurs. to Sat. from Noon to 6 p.m. The depot will be closed on Wednesday and Sunday.
People returning bottles should use the back entrance of the house at 316 Atwood Ave.
