A busy week is in store at Riverview and McCrosson-Tovell Schools. Riverview’s annual science fair will take place on Tuesday, February 27th. Parents and community members are invited to come out between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. to see the students’ work. If you are not able to come at that time, displays will be set up between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening for viewing. Our thanks go out to True Value, Rainy River Drugs, Wood’s Bakery, Beaver Mills, Susan’s Corner Store, CIBC, The Cut Above, The Source, Gillons’ Ins. Custom’s Staff and Walmart for the donation of prizes for the science fair.
Students in grades 4-8 from both schools will be taking in the Youth Tobacco Prevention Program “Just Say Moe” on the morning of Wednesday, March 28th from 10:00 –11:30 am at the Rainy River High School Gym.
On Thursday, March 1st students in grades 5-8 from both schools will be headed for Biwabik, MN for the annual ski trip. Thanks go out to all those who have volunteered to chaperone this trip. Buses leave Riverview at 5:30 am and 6:00 a.m.
That same day grades 1-3 students from Riverview will be headed to Donald Young School to take in the comical presentation Bugsy Malone. The production begins at noon and is cast with students from grades one to five.
March Break is quickly approaching, but before students head out the door, Riverview will be holding a winter carnival on Friday, March 9th. Later that day students will be coming home with term two report cards. Please look for these, sign and return the back page when the student returns on Monday, March 19th.
