Students at Rainy River High School who are fundraising to build a school in Sierra Leone, Africa are hosting fun family activities during the month of March. 100% of the proceeds from these events will go towards the Brick by Brick project.
The first of these events will be a pancake breakfast which will take place on Friday, March 9 in Room 2 at Rainy River High School. The breakfast will run from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m.. The cost is $3.00 per person. Pancakes, sausages and refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The second event is a talent show which will take place on Friday,
March 23 in the Rainy River High School Gym. All kinds of acts are being accepted, and anyone who would like to participate is fully encouraged to. Each act must pay a $20.00 entry fee. The show starts at 7:00 p.m., but acts are required to arrive one hour earlier to prepare their sound. Application forms can be picked up at Rainy River High School Main Office. The forms and the fees must be returned to the school by Friday, March 19. The prizes are as follows: $100 for contestants aged 13 and older and $50.00 for contestants 12 and under. There is a $2.00 admission fee for spectators.
So far, RRHS students have raised nearly $4,000 of their $12, 000 goal. This is a good start, but it is not enough. We need your help and support to meet this goal. Have some fun! Be entertained! Show your support!
We’ll see you there.
