Students at RRHS who are raising money to build a school in Sierra Leone, Africa are very pleased to announce that they are almost half-way to their $12,000 goal.
To date, students have raised nearly $5,900. A large portion of these proceeds is from donations made by community members, for which they are thankful. The Brick by Brick Committee would like to extend their deepest thanks to anyone who participated in the pancake breakfast, or any other fundraiser the group has planned, and those who donated to the cause. The community has shown tremendous support of the project, and without this support, the figures would obviously not be as large as they are.
The committee would also like to thank all the businesses, associations and churches who allowed them to put up donation boxes and posters in their establishments. Nothing would be possible without this exceptional co-operation.
Future fundraising activities that the committee plans will be announced at a later time.
The committee is grateful that they are centered in a community that has such concern for world issues, and such big hearts to contribute to the cause. With the community’s continued support, the committee is confident that they will have no troubles reaching their goal.
