We really appreciate the town council’s interest

Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my support and gratitude for a new initiative from our town’s elected officials. On Wednesday 11th April Dr. Beller and I were invited to meet with Mayor Deb Ewald, Councillors Gord Armstrong and Marilyn McAlister and Town Administrator Veldron Vogan. We were asked to give our views on any problems, concerns or issues that the clinic and our staff are faced with.
It was unexpected and gratifying to be approached. I left the meeting with the impression that our concerns were well-understood and that Council intends to help however it can. The support is most welcome. I understand that similar meetings are planned as part of an effort to identify what needs to be done in other areas critical to the town’s future.
My hat’s off to Council for their initiative in this regard.
