It is shaping up to be the best one yet!
The 3rd annual RR Health and Wellness Fair and the 2nd annual RR Trade Show are set to run at the Rainy River Community Centre and Arena this Friday and Saturday.
Event organizer Melanie Murray is very excited noting that the Health Fair already has 23 exhibitors signed up which is more than last year already and they are still taking bookings for space.
New to the Health Fair this year is Misty River Nutrition from Emo, A herbal natural foods dealer from Dryden and several others. Many of the popular exhibitors from the past two years will also be back this year.
The Health Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. upstairs at the centre with the elevator being staffed all day.
A special highlight this year will be guest speaker Renate Winkler a pharmacist and naturopath. She will be speaking on Arthritis at 3 p.m.
Admission to the Health Fair is $2 but if people bring non-perishable food items they will get in for free and all the food collected will be donated to the RR Food Bank.
The RR Chamber of Commerce’s 2nd annual Trade Show will begin Friday evening at 5 p.m. and will feature at least 25 exhibitors. Many of last year’s popular booths will be there again this year as well as a classic car show just outside the arena, a RRHS car wash to raise money for prom, both on Saturday.
Friday the show will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday it will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will also have a $2 admission fee.
In addition to several food vendors being set up all day at the show, Friday night the RR Fire Dept. will be hosting a BBQ beef and pork dinner.
Booth rental space at either the Health Fair or Trade show can still be booked up until this Thursday by calling Melanie Murray at 852-3308.
There will be door prizes at each event and many booths will have draws of their own at both events.
