Giant pumpkin season is here

Dear Editor,
Spring is here and the Rainy River Valley Giant Pumpkin Festival Committee has had their first meeting of the year.
In an effort to encourage more children to participate we have increased the cash prizes for the best junior growers. Area schools have been contacted to let them know seeds are available for the children on a first come first served basis.
We would like to see growers in this area take home some of the top cash prizes this year so it is time to start your giant pumpkin.
We look forward to seeing you on September 16th.
