Moen sisters have a banner year at gymnastics meets

Two girls from Rainy River, Shauna and Kendra Moen, had a good year competing at gymnastics meets around the region. Here are their results:
Shauna Moen: Level 4 (age 11)
Thunder Bay-Jan. 20/07: 3rd overall, placed 2nd in vault, bars and beam and 4th on the floor.
Red Lake-Feb. 17/07: 2nd overall, placed 2nd in vault, bars, floor and 5th on beam.
Sioux Lookout-Mar. 31/07: 3rd overall, placed 1st in floor, vault, bars and 4th on beam.
Fort Frances-Apr. 14/07: 1st overall, placed 1st in floor, vault, beam and 4th on bars.
Kendra Moen: Level 3 (age 8)
Thunder Bay: Silver overall, placed gold in vault and silver on bars, beam and floor.
Red Lake: Gold overall, placed gold in vault, bars, beam and floor.
Sioux Lookout: Bronze overall, placing silver in floor and vault and bronze in bars and beam.
Fort Frances: Gold overall, placed gold in floor, vault, bars and beam.
In the age 7 and 8 category gymnasts do not compete against one another but strive to achieve their best in the events.
In Shauna’s age group she generally competed against about eight other competitors.
