Rose wins Hike and Bike Challenge

And the winner is.... Kathy Rose of Rainy River!
Last week the Healthy Communities Coalition announced the winner of their Summer Active contest. Kathy Rose of Rainy River won an adult sized mountain bike for her participation in the Hike and Bike Community Challenge.
HCC has sponsored summer active activities for a number of years, encouraging the public to get more physically active.
All registered participants keep track of their active living activities and this year 70 people did just that.
HCC member and Northwestern Health Unit employee Heidi Ivall said that to make it more interesting they decided to offer weekly draws for t-shirts and water bottles and then have a grand prize draw for the bike.
Rose who is a foster parent, said that her foster son Johnny Shauwataskung loves to walk and he has been constantly urging her out the door.
