CSI Rainy River?
Could there be too much CSI on t.v.?
In the rash of break-ins last week it appeared the thieves were very “neat” in their crimes. Were they experienced criminals from outside the community or ones that may have received an education from the popular t.v. series.
I have heard the real crime scene investigators time and time again insisting that things just don’t happen like they do on the fictionally based show. But does everyone believe that?
While some of it is not based on hard fact it is possible that people are paying attention to the mistakes made by those fictional criminals and adapting them to there real life crime sprees like the one in Rainy River.
In the nearly two decades I have been at the paper there have been several B&E’s including some that involved multiple businesses. In just about all those cases the criminals got in and caused a great deal of damage often hastily clearing shelves of stock.
Either these new bandits are smarter or they are neat freaks. Whatever the reason we now have CSI Rainy River going on while the police try to nail down the whodunnits.
–Until then,
