Music Fest line up packed with local talent

Hannam Park will be alive with the sounds of music this Saturday and Sunday.
The Annual Rainy River Music Festival will be held in the park with a variety show slated for Saturday afternoon and the regular festival on Sunday afternoon.
The variety show is from 4-7 p.m. at the park and will many local performers. One of the organizers, Gerry Jolicouer, said that there may even be cameo appearances from stars like Johnny Cash, Stompin Tom, Kenny Rogers and more! “We have a few slots available for anyone looking to perform.
Then after an interdenominational church service at the park Sunday morning the main stage will come alive with local and area performers from Noon until 4 p.m. New to the musical lineup this year are Bobby Johnson and Co., Marshall Bassenett, Wes Hasbargen and Lorne Whalen. Returning to the stage again this year are Ericka Tymkin, Gerry Jolicouer, Garry Smith and Kayla Lauzon. Jolicoeur said that there is still a few slots for performers on Sunday and anyone interested should call him at 852-1478.
Both events are free of charge and have been extremely popular in years past.
