Take a tour of beautiful RR
Letter to the editor,
I want to express how wonderful the growing beauty of our community is. Rainy River’s beautification committee should really take a bow for encouraging and fostering neat yards, green lawns and beautiful flowers.
Soon there will be many visitors in town and our citizens should be really encouraged to take them on a tour. I myself often travel the streets and area and have found many beautiful spots.
Here are a few of them:
•The RR Town Hall has a beautiful layout of grass and plants. I think the elderly gentleman that works and tends these grounds plus the town crew deserve our gratitude.
•Dana Kaliska and Janet Hughes have a beautiful yard at the corner of Government Road and Hwy. 11, featuring a wondrous waterfall, as stream and a very attractive rock garden.
•Just down the Hwy. is Bill and Gail Szlauko’s property with luscious lawn and very attractive flower beds.
•There are many beautiful homes on Tower Road and River Ave. E. including the English Garden of Bob and Elsie Ewald and Grouda’s panoramic yard. Both are breathtaking.
•East of town the Short’s residence on Worthington Rd. features a neat house and attractive garden and flowers.
•Further east on Colonization Rd. is both the Sawchuk residences featuring tree lined driveway, manicured lawns, many flowers and trimmed hedges.
•Yeryk’s place next door is also worth a look with the most beautifully sculptured cedar hedges and a gorgeous playground for their grand kids.
•In Arbor Vitae the Stoyka residence is also beautiful.
So people be proud and happy! It is always nice and really pleasant to enhance God’s creation in a positive way and see and feel the delight that comes with it.
Merchants in RR also need a pat on the back as do all the unmentioned and numerous other homeowners that have worked hard to beautify their properties.
