(Fort Frances, Ontario) The Fort Frances Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is currently investigating a motor vehicle collision that left Richard Morriseau Jr age 26 of Couchiching First Nation dead.
Morriseau had been lying on Hwy 11 (Mill Rd) in the Town of Fort Frances at 3:10 am on the 31st of August when a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe fatally struck him.
The driver of the vehicle and three friends, all from Illinois, were uninjured in the collision. The four had just entered Canada on their way to a weeklong fishing trip.
Foul play is not suspected and the investigation is ongoing.
