The Fort Frances Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is actively investigating a mischief complaint to property owned by JTJ Contracting of Emo.

On the 24th of August 2007 at approximately 2 am unknown persons attended the underpass area on the 900 block of Portage Ave in Fort Frances. The area is under construction and traffic is currently being controlled by temporary portable traffic lights. One of the solar panels utilized by these lights was smashed with a metal pole rendering it useless. The other solar panel was written on and numerous traffic signs were tampered with. The cost of the vandalism is reported to be over 10,000 dollars.
