Kingdom Unity

It is not about the things that divide us, but join us in Him.
Jesus stated these words in the last days of His life on Earth.
John 17:11
11 Now I am departing the world; I am leaving them behind and coming to you. Holy Father, keep them and care for them˜all those you have given me˜so that they will be united just as we are.
John 17:21-23
21 My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father˜that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me.
22 I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are˜23 I in them and you in me, all being perfected into one. Then the world will know that you sent me and will understand that you love them as much as you love me.
Religion seeks to divide us from one another, where true Christ-likeness brings us together.
A sign of the religious spirit is we have a sense of superiority towards other Christians, other denominations, and movements.
Watchman Nee says that wisdom of the world according to James 3 will always produce division; Division from person to person and church to church.
God’s wisdom always seeks out to restore and elevate relationship above doctrine.
The Kingdom of God, according to the Bible, recognizes unity and does away with walls because all come under one head, The King.
The Harvest
I was given a picture of individual people cutting wheat in the field with a sickle. It was inefficient and slow. A lot of grain was wasted. Then I saw a huge combine going through the field with one great sweep and took in a great portion of the harvest.
The individuals [individual churches] alone were working hard and were getting some results. After all they were Christians.
But the combine will reap much more than what the individual can do alone.
The individual might harvest enough for themselves and their small family. The combine will harvest enough for many.
Synergy
Combined effort being greater than parts: the working together of two or more things, people, or organizations
Ecclesiastes 4:9
Two people can accomplish more than twice as much as one; they get a better return for their labor.
Hebrews 10:25
25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
The tendency is not to fellowship because we are different in our beliefs.
Have we ever thought that perhaps God doesn‚t necessarily believe everything we do? Yet, He never separates Himself from us and always directs His love toward us. So why do we do it with one another?
We need to change our thinking and work for the betterment of the community in unity.
