New preschool program being offered in RR

The Board of The Rainy River Playschool Inc. has decided to offer a two hour Preschool program, available to children 30 months - 5 years, Monday - Friday, 9am -11 am. This program will be run out of the Learn, Laugh & Play childcare Centre, presently located in the basement of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
This program is similar to the two hour Playschool program which ran Mondays and Thursdays, out of the Ontario Early Years Centre. The Playschool program provided families with many years of a quality interactive and play base program, lead by a nurturing and qualified Teacher.
As of October 1st, this program will be replaced by a two hour Preschool program, lead by qualified Early Childhood Educators Alicia Nordin and Tess Galusha. This program will offer activities such as free play, craft, circle time and outdoor play; as well a healthy snack will be provided for the children.
The decision to change things this year is something the board had been talking about already last year when we opened the Childcare Centre. The two programs are governed by the same corporation, so it seemed like just common sense. By offering the Preschool program out of Learn, Laugh and Play we will be able to offer the program to children more than two days a week, and there will be more space to operate the program out of.
An Open House & Registration for this program and for the Learn, Laugh & Play Childcare Centre will be held on Monday September 10th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, and Wednesday September 12, 9:30am -11:30am, at the Learn, Laugh and Play Childcare Centre located in the basement of the Evangelical Covenant Church 307 1st Street.
