Plans beginning for annual Christmas bazaar
By Irene Hanson
RR Hosp. Aux.
The hospital Auxiliary had its first fall meting, after being of for July and August, with fourteen members present. President Myrna Armstrong welcomed us all and we opened with the Auxiliary prayer. The minutes of the last meeting were read by secretary Jessie Bodnarchuk, and treasurer Brig McGreevy gave the financial report. Both approved as read.
Correspondence was a letter and certificate from the graduating class, thanking us for the donation given for their chem free party in June. Also a letter advising a change of date for the Fall executive conference. Since it is now on the same day as the Walleye tournament, no one will be going.
Buddy Hannam reported she has not been able to get any information on the candy machine, either on repairs or a new one. She will keep trying.
The Christmas Bazaar was the next item of discussion. It will be held on December 2 at the Recreation Centre, so mark this on your calendars. We will also try to do an entertainment programme again this year, as many folks have said they really enjoyed them. There will be raffle tickets available shortly on 2 prizes, first a double size quilt, 2nd to be decided. Also the usual penny tables, in house draws, perogies, cabbage rolls, etc will be available.
The special committees gave their reports, Buddy Hannam on the H.E.L.P. tickets, Vivian Hartnell on sick and visiting, Myrna Armstrong on the Tuck Shop.
This concluded our meeting. The next one is on October the 1st at the hospital at 1:30 p.m.
