Overall, the team did very well at their 2nd meet of the year. We had a few cramps that occurred during races, this brought Taylors and Karlies times down from what they hoped, but we also had some PR’s for the season, with Saragh, Katelyn and Andrew leading the team with great races. Saragh will be moving up to varsity as she continues to gain confidence in her Junior High races. Felicia and katie are on target for their times as well, and they were very happy with their effort. Bryce Palm improved his time by 29 seconds and is a very strong Junior Varsity runner.
The weather was overall pretty decent for the runners - it was cloudy and humid from the previous rain that day. and was fairly cool, but not too windy. The older athletes are showing great leadership with the younger runners- helping them with preparation for their races, andcheering them on during their races as well. I am very proud of them, and am also proud of how the new athletes are running- they work very hard and it is showing with their race times.
The next meet is next thurs at East Grand Forks. We have some time to work on improving our pacing before the next meet to hopefully bring in some more PR’s for the season.
