Volunteers deserve a pat on the back!
Letter to the Editor:
A few weeks ago, the Rec Board was approached by the Carpenter, Murray, & Wiersema families who offered to supply the paint and manpower to paint the upstairs of the community center. 40 gallons of paint and 180 manpower hours later, the job was completed.
The Rec Board would like to thank E.J. and Dot Wiersema, Susan Carpenter, and Vaughn and Melanie Murray, for supplying the paint for the walls, the Lions Club for generously donating the paint for the ceiling, Lowes Lumber and John Sinninghe for the scaffolding, and Cory of True Value for his help.
The paint crew consisted of Susan Carpenter, Randi Carpenter, Ken McCormick, Dot & E.J. Wiersema, Carla Wiersema, Vaughn & Melanie Murray, Angie & Melissa Armstrong, Shona Nordberg, Sheryl Wiersema, Donna Ivall, John Sinninghe, Rose Tetu, Walter & Deb Wagner and Monique Gall. A great big thanks to all of the above.
Volunteering is still alive and well in Rainy River. Pat yourselves on the back for a job well done!
